These are completely one of a kind, no two will be alike.
Created by our small family run team in Jaipur, these are created from hand sourced vintage kantha quilts.
KANTHA - meaning "patched cloth" is a centuries old folk tradition where women used old clothes like saris to create patchwork quilts. The practice involves hand sewing long running stitches to create new functional items....its really sustainability at its best. Kantha is a communal activity done by women together in their homes and serves as a canvas for expressing creativity.
Our Kantha Waistcoats are a relaxed layer piece, not made to be done up but layered over other items. Throw them over anything, any season - they look great over a dress or with your fave denim. They are a true statement piece that are timeless and unique.
Whats more they are REVERSIBLE!! We created these with versatility in mind - on one side you have unique cotton Kantha, and on the other you have a fur waistcoat with patch pockets with beautiful Kantha trim.
FABRIC:
100% cotton vintage kantha.
Our Fur is made from rPET - a recycled polyster made from melting down plastic bottles. It gives a second life to materials that aren't biodegradable and would otherwise end up in landfill. This material is becoming more accessible amongst sustainable brands, and we spent months searching and sampling to find the right sustainable material. It is super soft and lush and eco-friendly to boot!

Due to the delicate nature of our pieces we recommend only gentle hand wash in cold water only when necessary, and press water out rather than wring out. Consider spot cleaning an area such as armpits, with a gentle detergent instead..
Do not bleach, tumble dry or machine wash, even on a gentle cycle!
Never soak, period!
