Kantha is a form of traditional indian embroidery whereby pre-loved cotton saris or blankets are hand sewn with a running stitch by women from local villages. The term 'kantha' is the stitch which is always unique in its form and layers because it is all hand done. Each side is different, meaning that your piece will have 2 unique sides and behold different patterns and colours. They are perfectly imperfect and the epitome of upcycling. We hand pick from these vintage kantha and then our small team of artisans will tailor them into the pieces that we design whether that be market totes or jackets.
